You’re relentless satv. It sounds like the internet is a very dangerous place for your computer and it would be safest to keep it disconnected at all times.

I suppose you could take some of your real estate earnings and invest them in a machine that can visit blogs without falling apart. They must be available because there are thousands of people who visit these sites and seem to manage just fine.

Better safe than sorry though- you should probably just keep it unplugged at all times.

security expert say”security can not be guaranteed”, people have to run patches every day or so,you guys are familiar with window up date every few days.
when this come to securing the web there are two type of people one who make this secure another to break it(hackers)so nothing is guaranteed.will request the pop please do not delete this unless or otherwise.

at the end I have just said developing story when rob is talking about IP-ADDRESS,but there is no where I request anyone visit or not to visit their sites.

With a handle like that, you should know that there is no malicious code blogspot. And if somebody decided to go after your IP,they would get jack all if you use a router and/or firewall. Unless you are leaving ports open for whatever reason, that is.

I don’t think resteven has anything to do with robsnumbers. If he did, where is the anti-chipman comments? Heck, he even has TBREA on the blogroll.

Wordpress logs the IP of all posters, but not visitors. AFAIK know the blogger doesn’t, but somebody with free time on their hands could use the free visitor log to deduce posters IP’s.

The Edmonton Real Estate Board radio spot has incorrect stats for the month of June.

Previously they had the following statement removed from their June press release without any statement of correction. The media carried the story regarding strong sales in their reporting so mentioning a correction is appropriate.

Single month sales in June were up 20% from last month and 15% from June 2006.

Their radio ad with false sales information still remains.

“…So did that slow down the market? …Not at all. While average price dropped slightly, sales were still up 20% from May to June…”

    link

In fact residential sales were DOWN 22% May to June. The drop was from 2839 to 2203. Is the EREB diabolical and corrupt or just plain incompetent?

    2c worth:
The markets out there are currently at very unusual extremes.
China appears to have topped but nobody is really talking about it. The emerging markets look vulnerable.
Similarly, some industrial metals seem to have topped.
Most remarkable, Dow&Nasdaq are extending to new nominal highs without convincing fundamentals.
There is still a high chance of an upcoming US recession, but the markets don’t seem to have discounted that yet.

There seems to be a prevailing myth that housing won’t impact the US ecomony, and that there’ll be a bounce there soon.
People believe that subprime is contained and are ignoring the breadth of the problem.
Perhaps when it becomes obvious that there won’t be a RE bounce, all the other shoes will fall.

If one examines smart money positions, one would bet on:
    - a big drawdown in the general stockmarkets anytime now
    - a drop in the oil price (likely to $50 again).
    - a bounce in the USDollar (with a likely pullback in the loonie, but moreso in the euro).

However when the bubble pops, and scapegoats are in demand, some would be politicians, and junior journalists, looking to cut their teeth, will be directing the tax man where to look.
