I think it is worse than reported. Health care system is bursting in the seams, working staff to breaking point. Panhandlers where ever you go, some really sad looking beings. Homeless men that are just skin and bones under nourished.
Frankly, I am very disturbed by this mess. I am hoping to leave Canada in the next few years, it is too painful to watch this mess.
What a mess.

That leaves a big exception for outlets like the Associated Press, the British Broadcasting Corp., Public Broadcasting Service and National Public Radio, according to reporting from BBC reporter, Dave Lee. The affected accounts will be able to use Twitter, but can’t access the company’s advertising products, Twitter said in a statement. The policy applies to news media outlets that are financially or editorially controlled by the state, Twitter said. The company said it will make its policy determinations on the basis of media freedom and independence, including editorial control over… Read more »

Interesting development.

China bans Twitter but uses them for their evil purposes.

Another million on the streets this past weekend.

Fuck china, the prc needs to be eliminated and all communists need to be strung up.

Anyone on Canadian soil who supports the prc needs to go, one way or another.

“Twitter, Facebook suspend accounts over Hong Kong”

“Facebook also said on Monday that it had removed five accounts and seven pages, some of which portrayed protesters as terrorists. It said posts were uploaded by fake accounts presented as those of media outlets. Facebook added that it uncovered the possible involvement of persons linked to Chinese authorities.

The two companies say they will steadily deal with such illicit conduct.”

Mainland Chinese tourist jailed for defacing US consulate in Hong Kong in response to so-called foreign meddling in anti-government protests

“Unemployed man Qin Jingjun, 37, attempted to spray “China will prevail” in Chinese on the front gate of the consulate on August 18, Eastern Court heard. But he was intercepted by a security guard before having the chance to spray the word “prevail””.

So the unemployable locust only managed to write “china will”.

Also”Chinese citizens from Australia to Britain have turned up in droves since last week to oppose marches in support of Hong Kong protesters. The one in Melbourne descended into clashes, with a pro-Beijing demonstrator attacking an Australian journalist.”

I was under the impression Chinese immigrate to Canada to escape the authoritarian regime. Our immigration policy with the Chinese should be under an immigration/refugee hybrid system that would involve a declaration of denouncement of the CPC and surrendering of Chinese passport and citizenship. Any rally or protests that show support for the CPC should be considered a breach, justifying deportation. Such measures are important to mitigate China’s proclivity for sending spies and agents here.

Which other groups would you deny the right to protest?

Specuskeptic

The great irony here is that they couldn’t protest in opposition to official policy in the homeland without fear of being Tiananmened by the people’s army…. Additional irony in it being probably lost on them.

I’ve long said chinese shouldn’t get permanent residency unless they denounce the totalitarian thugs in Beijing.

Now we’ve let in so much trash that the barbaric thugs are actually organizing to subvert democracy here and not even bothering to hide it anymore.

They’re not here because they want to become good citizens of Canada, they’re here to do us harm.

Why do the chineeze want to get into Canada so badly that they are willing to cheat their way in?
They should all be deported.

I have never said or thought that. The issue is there are so many cheats that we can’t catch them all. They need to be blocked at the source.

Bitcoin, fraud, weed, and Van RE – this story has it all LOL.

“Judge rejects plea to set aside order to preserve luxury assets in alleged $30-million cryptocurrency fraud”

https://vancouversun.com/business/local-business/judge-rejects-plea-to-set-aside-order-to-preserve-luxury-assets-in-alleged-30-million-cryptocurrency-fraud

Quick version: According to the B.C. Civil Forfeiture Office’s allegations, the couple ran Vanbex Group Inc. and Etherparty SmartContracts Inc., which launched a cryptocurrency coin called a FUEL token for which they raised money from investors by “deceit, falsehood or fraudulent means.”

An RCMP investigation determined they raised more than $30 million “by falsely representing corporate investment opportunities … knowing they did not intend to use the invested funds to develop products they were marketing but rather with intention to misappropriate the corporately invested funds raised for their own personal benefit,” the claim’s statement says.
