Sept. 7, 10:23 p.m., Ladner Trunk Road and Highway 17A: A report was made of multiple sports cars driving southbound through the George Massey Tunnel of speeds upwards of 150 km/h. A row of five sports cars was located at a traffic light but upon seeing police arrive the sport cars drove away at a high rate of speed. The vehicles were paced at going 155 km/h in a posted 90 km/h zone. Upon activation of emergency lights, three of the cars pulled over. Police approached one of the drivers while the other two drove off. The driver who was stopped by police was unlicensed. The driver was issued excessive speed and no driver’s licence violation tickets. The vehicle was also impounded. The other sports cars were unable to be located.

Revelstoke RCMP find $1.9 million in stop of erratic driver by The Canadian Press Posted Sep 19, 2019 11:46 am PDT REVELSTOKE, B.C. — A complaint of an erratic driver on Highway 1 east of Revelstoke, B.C., resulted in a $1.9-million cash seizure by RCMP. Police say they stopped a vehicle from eastern Canada, with two men inside, on Sept. 8. Both men were detained and then arrested for possession of property obtained by crime. Officers say a subsequent search with help from a police-service dog uncovered the $1.9 million in cash. The men, who police say are both from eastern Canada, were released on their own recognizance with a future court date. Airbnb says it will go public in 2020
NEW YORK – Home-sharing company Airbnb Inc. said Thursday it plans to go public in 2020.
It’s a long-awaited move for the San Francisco company, which was founded in 2008 by Brian Chesky and Joe Gebbia, who needed some extra cash so they put air mattresses on their apartment floor and charged $80 per night.
Since then, Airbnb has grown into one of the largest home-sharing platforms. The company said earlier this week it has more than 7 million listings in 100,000 cities worldwide.
Airbnb also said it made “substantially more than” $1 billion in revenue in the second quarter of this year, the second time in its history that revenue topped $1 billion. It didn’t reveal its profits.
A speculator made $100,000 after trying to flip for 4 years.
