Some months they give total inventory, others they don't. 			<description>&#60;p&#62;3 bedrooms are what I look for, usually, and it's been a pain over the last couple years. There are the buildings you look for, but a lot of amateur landlords are petrified. Add kids and it's like you're asking to run a meth lab. I know some bears negotiate their cats after they've had credit checks, etc., go through - but I'm not terribly interested in playing &#34;convince the landlord&#34;. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;For example, Craigslist shows 797 total for 3 beds and only 152 allowing cats! Plus, if you make $1800- your maximum (approximate affordability to the median family income as long as utilities are included) then you're down to 50. (38 with a dog.)&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Redonkulous.Of course, lots of the real rental market never hits Craigslist, so I imagine in the real market there are more cat friendly buildings, but it's certainly not even half the stock. And for dogs? Bleah. I work with young families. I know 2 whose pets were a motivation for buying.

			<description>&#60;p&#62;I'm surprised it's sitting open because it allows for pets! That's hard to come by, these days. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;... Talking with a friend last night about her building. It's an old one &#38;amp; she's friends with the landlord. He had a tenant with a cleanliness problem; they ended up talking about rodents and their control, and the landlord pointed out that he allowed cats in the building for a darn good reason. Lots of cats = no rodents. Cat damage = tenant cost responsibility. Rodent damage = more insidious, landlord cost responsibility, and landlord open to claims from tenants. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;I prefer older architecture &#38;amp; have lived only in buildings built before the 30s, and it's totally true that the mice are in the buildings where there no pets allowed. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Anyway, pets are so discouraged these days. You usually do pay extra damage AND a monthly &#34;pet premium&#34;. So I'm surprised this is sitting open.
